*OPA Summer Theatre Camps 2014*





*"Tales of the Forest"*

*Youth Camp*

This weeklong camp, *Monday, July 21, - Friday, July 25*, will culminate
with a Friday, 7pm showcase performance.  Designed for kids age 6-11, it
will include excerpts from several Grimm Brothers fairy tales,
including *Hansel
& Gretel*, and *Little Red Riding Hood*!  The camp will run 9-3 daily, with
extended care available, and will involve multiple sessions: Acting,
Singing, and Dancing, developing each camper's overall Musical Theatre
skills.  Their experience will also be enriched by a Theatre History
session, as they learn about the background behind the material and music
they are performing.



"Time Of My Life"

Teen Camp

This 2 week camp, *Monday, June 16, - Friday, June 27*, will culminate with
a Friday, 7pm showcase performance. Designed for 6th graders (age 11) and
up, it will include several songs from the rock band era of the 80’s!  The
camp days, 10-2 daily for week 1, 10-3 daily for week 2, will involve
multiple sessions: Acting, Singing, and Dancing, developing each camper's
overall Musical Theatre skills. Their experience will also be enriched by
Technical Theatre sessions, as they learn about many aspects of the
technical side of theatre.
