Thoroughly Modern Mercury!

Thoroughly Modern Millie, the high-spirited musical romp that has everyone dancing the Charleston, will play host to the Girl Scouts of Cuyahoga County on Wednesday, June 25 at 7:30 pm. The musical, with Book by Dick Scanlan and Richard Morris, and new music by Jeanine Tesori, and based on the Julie Andrews movie of the same name, is the perfect theatre outing for a young performer, theatre newbie, and anyone who could use an honest-to-gooness laugh (or two). MSS is adding a few special events to Millie’s run at our theatre:

1.                  Thursday, June 19 - Teen Night. Evening includes a pre-show pizza party. Tickets are just $10 for teens! Accompanying family members are $15.

2.                  Friday, June 20 - College ID night. Sponsored by Red Bull. Tickets are $10.00 each with a valid college ID.

3.     		Wednesday, June 25 - Girl Scout Night! Tickets are just $5 each for Girl Scouts and their siblings. Accompanying adults are $10 each. 			    	Parties of 10 or more are entitled to 1 complimentary chaperone ticket.

Set in 1922 New York City, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Filled with fun-loving flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villainess that audiences will love to hate, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment for you and your family. Thoroughly Modern Millie runs June 13-28, 2014, and all seats are under $20. Appropriate for ages 6 and up.
