[NEohioPAL] AUDITION NOTICE- The Fantasticks

The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild will hold open auditions for the hit musical,
*The Fantasticks*
 by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt.
* Directed by J.E.Ballantyne, Jr. *
*Auditions will be held at the Log Cabin on the Square *
*in Chardon, Ohio.*

*The Log Cabin is on East Park Street, near the Theater.*

*Monday and Tuesday, July 7th and 8th at 7pm.*

The cast requirements are as follows:

* Luisa: *16-17 (approx.) with good vocal range (could be played by older
actress if she                                           looks young enough)

 *Matt:* "The boy next door" type - good vocal range

*El Gallo/Narrator*: Handsome hero type with knowledge of the world

*Hucklebee (Matt's father): *Good comedic character type

*Bellomy - (Luisa's father)*: Good comedic character type

*Henry* *(The old actor)*: Good character type - the character is 60s - 80s
but can be played by younger actor - British accent

* Mortimer (the Indian)*: Good comedic actor - possible accent

*The Mute: * no lines, but good with pantomime.  No specific age or gender

All roles (except The Mute) must be able to sing

but Henry and Mortimer minimally.

*Music rehearsals will begin in late July with full rehearsals in early
August.*

*Show dates are: July 12,-14, 19-21, and 26-28.*
