Arlene’s Broadway on Buffalo Playhouse, in Conneaut, Ohio, will hold auditions for its debut production of Jack Sharkey’s “Who’s On First” on Sunday and Monday, June 22-23, from 6-8 p.m. both days. Appointments are not necessary; readings will be from the script.

The madcap comedy revolves around a group of four people who, through the intervention of a magic lamp, live the same scene over and over in increasingly bizarre ways. Cast consists of two men and two women, 20s to 40s, and performance dates are August 22-24, 29 and 30. Ability with accents is a plus as the play features gangsters, hillbillies, Japanese people and proper British tea-sipping types. Director is Mark Pendleton of Ashtabula.

Arlene's Broadway on Buffalo (ABOB) is at 236 Broadway St., Conneaut. The theater is located in a large, turn-of-the-century brick church in the downtown area, complete with bell tower, which has been converted into a theater. Seating approximately 150 people, ABOB features beautiful oak woodwork everywhere, fantastic acoustics, a full balcony complete with brass rail and antique seating as well as more than 60 Craftsman-style stained glass windows scattered throughout. It also has fully modern technical capabilities and a generous thrust stage.
