[BRANDON QUINN] 11, athletic, bright, brave, maybe a little too confident,
fundamentally a good kid, Brandon is struggling with the recent death of
his mother but obviously enjoys being the star player on the soccer team
coached by his dad, Jared, with their dog Rex as mascot. Brandon is
heart-broken when he's accused of cheating on a math test by classmate
Sean, whose big-shot dad (and team sponsor) Fielding has Brandon thrown off
the team and his kid installed as team captain instead. Unable to stay home
while his team goes to the International Soccer Tournament, Brandon sneaks
on the bus and ends up at the tournament stadium, where he secretly passes
plays onto his fellow teammates without anyone noticing--for a while.
Brandon winds up in the middle of two scheming bad guys, Louie and
Terrance, who need to steal a flash drive they dropped into the soccer
trophy, and once again Brandon finds himself accused of doing something he
didn't do: attempting to steal the trophy. With his own determination and
the help of Rex and the other mascot dogs, Brandon winds up helping his
team win, restoring his good name, and revealing the real bad guy...LEAD (1)

[SEAN] 11, a member of the Flying Cleats but not a very good soccer
player, Sean is very happy when his dad, the wealthy Fielding MacArthur,
uses his sponsorship to force team captain Brandon Quinn off the team and
install Sean as captain for the International Kids Soccer Cup Tournament.
Sean tries to take some tips from Brandon but apparently all he learns is
how to hog the ball and not pass. Though Sean is smugly pleased with his
new status, he's not the player Brandon is, and the team quickly loses
points thanks to him. Though he's unhappy about being benched, Sean does
eventually get to play for the team's last goal, when both he and Brandon
prove they can work together as a real team...LEAD (3)

[PLAYER #1, #2] 11-12 years old, bright, athletic, these two players on
Brandon's soccer team go to the International Kids Soccer Cup Tournament
with the team, and miserably watch as their team pretty much blows it with
Sean as their captain. Both are relieved to learn that Brandon has sneaked
into the tournament, and they both secretly get plays from him that boost
their scores; sometimes they even use their mascot dog Rex as a go-between
to get Brandon's advice on pieces of paper. Things don't go well for them
when they face their biggest challenge, the Brazilian team, and they both
head off to the half-time show very depressed...LEADs (21)

[JARED QUINN] mid 30s, Brandon's dad, recently widowed, a good dad who
loves his son, maybe a little too easy on him, Jared is the coach of
Brandon's soccer team. Jared acknowledges that Brandon is the team's star
player, but he also knows that Brandon has a tendency to hog the ball and
not pass as much as he should. Jared finds his hands tied when Brandon is
(unjustly) accused of copying a classmate's math test and the boy's father,
Fielding MacArthur, the sponsor of the team, demands that Brandon be thrown
off the team for the upcoming International Soccer Tournament or else he'll
withdraw all his money. With no recourse, Jared unhappily sets off for the
tournament without Brandon, and it looks as if his team is going to go down
in flames pretty quickly. Jared is not happy to discover that Brandon has
disobeyed him and come to the tournament after all, which triggers a roller
coaster series of events ending in the unlikely win of the Flying
Cleats--not to mention the capture of several crooks and the intervention
of a troupe of doggie mascots...LEAD (1) NAME TALENT ONLY

LOUIE] An ex-con who's not very bright or competent but sort of sweet,
Louie is hired by Fielding MacArthur to join his former cellmate Terrance
in stealing the prototype of a new video game so Fielding can sell it
himself. The heist goes awry and the flash drive with the game is dropped
into the champion cup destined for the winning team of the International
Kids Soccer Tournament. Louie and Terrance head to the Tournament to
retrieve the cup and the flash drive, and mayhem ensues involving many
mascot dogs, some irritable sports commentators and an innocent boy,
Brandon, who's believed to have attempted to steal the cup himself...LEAD
(6) Must be great with physical comedy.

[TERRANCE] A little brighter than his partner and former cellmate Louie,
something of the mastermind of their little duo, Terrance has been hired by
Fielding MacArthur to steal the prototype of a new video game so that
Fielding can market it himself. When the heist goes awry, Terrance drops
the flash drive into what turns out to be the championship cup trophy
destined to be awarded to the winner of the International Kids Soccer
Tournament, so both Terrance and Louie wind up at the tournament,
desperately looking for the cup and the flash drive. Mayhem ensues,
involving many mascot dogs, some irritable sports commentators and an
innocent boy, Brandon, who's believed to have attempted to steal the cup
himself....LEAD (6) Must be great with physical comedy.

[ARIANNA MACARTHUR] A real Yuppie type with an attitude of entitlement,
Arianna uses the controversy over the possibility that Brandon cheated off
of Sean's math test to get Brandon kicked off the team and Sean installed
as team captain in his place; she can do this because she sponsors the team
and is paying for their trip to the International Kids' Soccer Cup
Tournament. Arianna runs a company called Fair Play Toys but she herself is
actually a cheater and a thief, having hired two ex-cons, Terrance and
Louie, to steal the prototype of a new video game she wants to market for
herself. When the two thugs leave the flash drive in the Tournament
champion cup, she goes to the Soccer Tournament to make sure they get that
flash drive before the cup is given to the winning team. She has no
scruples about involving her son or using her clout to get what she wants.

GRANDPA] Brandon's grandfather, from Italy, warm, loving, with an
adventurous streak, Grandpa lives with Brandon and Jared. Grandpa doesn't
think it's right that Brandon's been kicked off the team for the
International Kids Soccer Tournament and encourages Brandon to sneak into
the tournament...SUPPORTING LEAD (10)

PRINCIPAL] The principal of Brandon's school, he calls in Brandon and
classmate Sean and their parents because he suspects them both of cheating
on a math test. He fails to find a suitable solution for the problem and
lets Fielding MacArthur take over the meeting...2 speeches & 3 lines, 1
scene (3)

COMMENTATOR #1, #2] These two professional sports commentators cover the
International Kids Soccer Tournament for radio, reporting from the control
booth. They both leave the booth and race to their cars when Louie and
Terrance tell them the cars are on fire, and discover too late that Louie
and Terrance have locked them out of the booth. They get their revenge
later...4 lines, 2 scenes;

SOCCER OFFICIAL] This soccer official at the International Kids Soccer
Tournament is very impressed with Louie and Terrance's impromptu
commentating from the booth, and hires them to continue. Later, he presents
the championship cup to the Flying Cleats but starts laughing because of
the laughing gas being pumped into the stadium...2 speeches & 5 lines, 2
scenes (42)

PAGE] This page working for the Soccer League informs the League Official
that the dignitaries from Italy and Mexico are here...1 line, 1 scene (62)

[LEAGUE OFFICIAL] This Soccer League official greets two men whom he
believes are visiting dignitaries from Italy and Mexico, not realizing
they're really Louie and Terrance, who want to get to the trophy cup. He
has a hard time keeping them away from it...1 speech & 8 lines, 1 scene (62)

ITALIAN DELEGATE] This distinguished Italian delegate at the International
Kids Soccer Tournament arrives to meet the League Official...1 line, 1
scene (64)

Kids Soccer Tournament arrives to meet the League Official...1 line, 1

field...1 speech, 1 scene (75)

REF] This ref at the International Kids Soccer Tournament tells Fielding
they can't play because they don't have a ball..1 line, 1 scene (79)

[CLOVIS] This wealthy, thin, bespectacled man approaches Brandon and Jared
after the Tournament and offers to be their team sponsor in perpetuity, as
well as giving every member of the team a scholarship fund. He's very
grateful that the Flying Cleats prevented his latest video game from being
hacked...2 speeches & 7 lines, 1 scene (89)
