Lorain Community Music Theater presents the Tony Award-winning musical, “The Music Man” at the LCCC Stocker Arts CenterJuly 18, 19, 25 & 26 at 7:30 pm and July 27 at 2:00 pm.
 While many parents spend their time driving their children to soccer and swimming during the summer, a dedicated group of performers from the Northeast Ohio area will take to the stage to re-create this classic Broadway musical.  These 60+ cast members have not only become a theater family, they also include 10 real families of moms, dads, brothers and sisters.'The Music Man' is an affectionate look back to Smalltown, USA, and follows the fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a band he vows to organize - despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef.  His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the Librarian, the one person who can transform him into a respectable citizen.All performances will be at the Stocker Arts Center, located on the campus of Lorain County Community College, Elyria.  Tickets for The Music Man are now available at the Stocker Center Box Office.  Adults are $18; Seniors (65+) and Students (up to age 12) are $16.  Tickets may be purchased in person or by phone at (440) 366-4040 during the week from 12 noon – 6 pm and 90 minutes prior to each performance.
