Godspell under the stars at the Frostville Museum August 7, 8 & 9 at 7:30
NORTH OLMSTED - The hit musical Godspell will be performed for one weekend only August 7, 8 & 9 at the Frostville Museum Event Barn, located at 24101 Cedar Point Road on the corner of Cedar Point and Lewis Roads in the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation. The show is being staged and produced by Mike and Brenda Larochelle in association with the Olmsted Historical Society and will be performed by North Olmsted High School students and recent graduates.  The cast includes Rebecca Blaufuss, Jeremy Harper, Sadie Lamparyk, Elise Larochelle, Joey Laumer, Katie Neary, Tori Roeder, Halle Shadrake, Peter Sherman, and Danny Sabo as Jesus.
Godspell, the Broadway and off-Broadway musical, conceived and originally directed by John Michael Tebelak with music by Stephen Schwartz, opened in 1971 and has been performed all over the world.  This high energy and heartwarming musical is based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, and is full of lessons about friendship, love, generosity, and faith.  With songs composed by Stephen Schwartz, also known for his work in the popular musicals “Wicked” and “Pippin”, Godspell features such musical numbers as “Prepare Ye The Way of The Lord,” “Day by Day,” “By My Side,” and “All For The Best.”
The show will be performed for three nights only August 7, 8 & 9 at 7:30 pm.  The Frostville Museum Event Barn is an outdoor venue, so audience members are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs.  Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.  Godspell is suitable for all ages, so bring the whole family and enjoy the show!
