If you knew tons of working filmmakers were partying at the same nightclub, would you be there? If hundreds of producers and directors were staying inside of one hotel for the weekend, would you stay at that hotel? If going to see a film meant you'd be among a crowd of people searching for new talent, would you go to that film?
The Indie Gathering International Film Festival is a yearly gathering of filmmakers from around the world, all staying in one hotel and going to the events within. The Indie Gathering is more than just a film festival - it's a place where filmmakers can gather together with the audience for one great weekend!
This year, the festival is on August 15th, 16th and 17th, and it's something every actor should be a part of. Aside from networking with producers and directors all weekend, you can actually perform for them in our individual monologue competition. This competition will be used by producers, directors and casting directors from across the country to find new talent. Competing gets you a full weekend pass to the festival. The festival features over 100 films from around the world, film lectures and panel discussions, networking parties, competitions, a convention, special guests and much more!
We have multiple age divisions for both male and female competitors, with awards in each division, as well as for overall grand champion. Winners will be featured on The REEL TV Network.
To register in advance and save $10, visit http://theindiegathering.com/acting.php by August 1st. Registration will also be accepted at the door.
