The Gallery at Lakeland presents “Sisters in Art” July 27 – Sept. 12 


KIRTLAND, Ohio –  The Gallery at Lakeland’s latest exhibit, “Sisters in 
Art Comes to Lakeland,” runs July 27 through Sept. 12 on the college’s 
main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094, building D, 
first floor.

“Sisters in Art” was formed in 2007 with 15 professional, female artists 
from Summit, Cuyahoga, Medina and Portage counties. Their mission is to 
further the creative efforts of women artists in Northeast Ohio by 
showcasing classical and contemporary painting styles.

An artist reception is slated for Friday, Aug. 1, from 6 – 8 p.m. The 
gallery exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

The exhibit at Lakeland features 14 female artists with works in a variety 
of media including: oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, graphite and mixed 
media. The artists and their work includes: 

Candace Bennington, pastel; Sharon M. Borrer, watercolor; April Cameron, 
acrylic; Deanna Clucas, acrylic; Sally S. Heston, watercolor; Barbara 
Johns, collage; Elinore M. Korow, oil, watercolor and pastel; Marcia 
Mazak, photo collage, collage, acrylic, pastel and mixed media; Susan 
Mencini, aqua media and acrylic; Linda Mertus, acrylic, collage and mixed 
media; Madeline Milford, graphite and colored pencil; Christine Paringer, 
collage, mixed media; Mary Harvey Sanders, watercolor; and Betty J. Wolfe, 
acrylic.

Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 9 
a.m. – 5 p.m.
