Register for Fall Youth Theatre Classes at The Cassidy Theatre today! 

**Because our teachers can accept only a limited class size, students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  It is important to get a paid application into the office as quickly as possible in order to be enrolled in the class of your choice. **

StarDust! 

4-6 year olds

Saturdays 9:00 an -9:45 am ($70)

September 6th- November 8th 2014- 10 weeks

Here’s a fun way for your youngest ones to get their start in theater!  This non-stressful approach to basic acting will teach your star how to twinkle!  This class will work on imagination, memorization and working together.  The ability to read is not necessary. A free brief showcase will be presented for family and friends on the last day of class. 



StarLight! (Acting)

7-12 year olds

Saturdays 12:00 pm- 1:00 pm ($70)

September 6th- November 8th 2014- 10 weeks

This class is for students who want to focus on acting.  During the course of this program, students will be instructed in improvisation, character work, and voice and movement for acting. The program is designed to benefit children of all abilities and experience levels.  Students must have basic reading skills. Studies will culminate in a performance for family and friends the final day of class. 



StarShine (Music & Dance)

7-18 year olds

Saturdays 10:00 am-12:00 pm ($120)

September 6th- November 8th 2014- 10 weeks

This class is for students who want to focus on musical theater.  During the course of this program, students will be instructed in various styles of music and dance for theater. The program is designed to benefit children of all experience levels.  Students must have basic reading skills. Studies will culminate in a performance for family and friends the final day of class.  



StarWorks! (Acting)

13-18 year olds

Saturdays 12:00 pm- 1:30 pm ($80)

September 20th- November 8th 2014- *8 weeks

In this class students will learn through improvisation, voice and movement exercises and other various acting techniques. Classes will include audition preparation, developing a character and creating confidence on and off the stage. Students of every experience level are encouraged to attend. 

Star Scripts! (Playwriting)

10-18 year olds

Saturdays 1:30 pm- 2:30 pm ($60)

September 20th- November 8th 2014- *8 weeks

In this class students will learn how to create shows of their own. Students will learn the basics of character and plot development, and constructing creative dialogue. This class will help you take your creative ideas from the page to the stage.

GROUP CLASSES 

Great for Youth groups, Boyscout and Girlscout troops!! ($20 per person)

Looking for a fun activity to keep your group busy?  Come have fun learning all about theater basics in this one-day, three hour, multi-age theater workshop.  Program includes a fun acting workshop featuring games and scene work, a backstage tour including costumes and props, brief theater history, and much more!  This introduction to the theater world and is meant to broaden students' knowledge of the arts and is perfect for Girl or Boy Scout Troops, home schoolers, or kids who just want to try a little sample of theater!  Please call to reserve a date for your group. Space is limited!  (Certificate will be presented at the end of workshop for credit towards patches or badges.) At least one troop leader / parent representative per scout troop needs to be present. No fee for adults

Dates Available -Sat. Sept. 27th and Oct. 18th

Times range from 12:30-3:30

 There is no charge for family and friends to attend final performances

There is a $10 discount for each additional family member registered.*Family discount not available for group class enrollment*
