*Actors’ Summit Announces Season Auditions*


Actors' Summit, a non-profit professional theater located in downtown Akron
announces its annual auditions for the 2014 -2015 season.  Auditions will
be held at the Actors' Summit theater on Tuesday, September 2 from 6:30 til
9:00.


The theater’s Mission is to create professional theater using Ohio artists.


Our six show 2014 – 2015 season includes:

1.     *Making God Laugh  *10/9 – 11/2

*2.     **The Hound of the Baskervilles  *11/26 – 12/21

*3.     **Einstein      *1/15 – 2/1

*4.     **The Book Club Play 2*/26 – 3/15

*5.     **Bad Jews  4*/16 – 5/3

*6.     **Patsy Cline  5*/28 – 6/21


Not all roles are available as some have been precast with members of the
theater’s acting company.  The role of Einstein has been cast.  Additional
information on the plays and the roles to be cast is available on the
theater’s web site, actorssummit.org.


Auditions are open to all Equity and non-Equity professionals.  Auditioners
must be at least 18 years old.


Actors are asked to come prepared with 3 copies of their headshot stapled
to their performance resume.


All performers at Actors' Summit are compensated.  Non-Equity performers
are paid on a per performance basis.


*Actors' Summit is committed to Non-Traditional Casting.  Except in cases
where race, gender, age, or disability is essential to the play, all roles
will be cast on the basis of talent. *


Auditions are by appointment.  Please register for a time slot by visiting
our website at Actorssummit.org and going to the “Audition” page.


Auditioners will receive an email confirmation.  Those requesting an
audition must include full name, address, email address and a phone number
in order to secure an audition time slot.


Each actor will have one and a half minutes for their memorized
presentation.  A single contemporary comedic monologue is requested.  It
may be shorter than the maximum time limit.


These auditions are not for singers.  Music auditions will be held at a
later date.


Auditions will take place at the theater:  Greystone Hall, 103 S High St, 6
th Floor, Akron, OH 44308.  Free parking is available.


Auditioners are asked not to call the theater.  Questions can be emailed to
info at actorssummit.org.


This is the only time Actors’ Summit has scheduled for open auditions for
the 2014 – 2015 season.  Actors who cannot attend, are encouraged to submit
headshots and resumes to info at actorssummit.org.
