Experience the fantastical fun of Camille Saint-Saëns' children's musical adventure Carnival of the Animals!  The piece is a humorous collection of short pieces featuring themes representing Lions, Hens, Roosters, Swift Animals, Tortoises, Elephants, Kangaroos, the Aquarium, Personages with Long Ears, The Cuckoo, Aviaries of the Jungle, Pianists (yes you heard right!) and Fossils.  Great music plus a wonderful way to introduce the instruments of the orchestra to the entire family.  The program also features Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, a charmingly delicate and imaginative collection of fairy tale motifs featuring Sleeping Beauty, Little Tom Thumb, Empress of the Pagodas, Beauty and the Beast, and The Fairy Garden!  Come enjoy a uniquely fanciful and exciting afternoon!
