      LAND OF CLEVE REVIEW:
'Oliver' Makes BTOTS Audiences
                   Feel Right at Home

The classic musical tale Oliver is being staged by Brecksville Theater on the Square to cap off its 2014 season, now playing through October 12th. The BTOTS production of this family favorite is not to be missed, as it is simply terrific!

This latest revival of Oliver showcases dozens of talented area performers of all ages. Colin Myers as Oliver is capable of making viewers cry with his honest and humble performance. As his counterpart, Ian Stewart looks like a Broadway show transplant portraying the colorful Artful Dodger. Josh Landis marvelously mischievous as Fagin, Kevin Myers is frightfully ferocious as Bill Sykes, and Don Lloyd provides some much-needed levity as Mr. Bumble.

Special mention must go to Ryann Sefcik’s passionate portrayal of the tragic Nancy. Her beautiful voice is resourceful and resounding during Nancy's showstopping number "As Long as He Needs Me."

The supporting players and ensemble members take on their various roles with nimble versatility. They include Grace Auble, David Bowler, Eric Bowler, Delia Brennan, Noah Brown, Kylee Brubaker, Andrew Burke, Andrew Clark, Melanie Clark, Gabby Datchler, Marc Giovanetti, Audrey Halvorson, Rex Harper, Ava Hartmann, Clay Hoffner, April Katona, John Katona, Sidney Katona, Judi Kaye, Carly Kubek, Katie Magalotti, Anthony Marchetta, Abriana Marchetta, Francesca Marino, Emma Pastirik, Linda Rollins, Zachary Sefcik, Andrew Seifert, Lex Thomas Speer, Lana Traum, and Joey Vartorella.

Quick change artists Robin Cangelosi and Marc Dusini are particular standouts, playing a variety of intriguing characters throughout the evening...
