*Education Associate*




The Education Associate is responsible for coordinating and implementing
many of the educational components of Center for Arts-Inspired Learning
that focus on earned revenue programming from schools and community
organizations.  These efforts are designed to strengthen links to the
educational community and address the long-term goals of the organization.  The
Education Associate reports to the Director of Programs.



*Responsibilities:*

·         Provides first response to telephone requests from schools,
community organizations, etc. for programming and facilitates
communications between roster artists and the school/venue for programs
scheduled.

·         Fields all earned revenue calls from schools/community
organizations; fulfills specific customer requests and suggests or
customizes programming to fit customer needs when necessary.

·         Responsible for program scheduling, data entry for educational
activities, and preparation and completion of contracts to artists and
schools through the Salesforce scheduling and database system.

·         Supports earned revenue programming objectives by making program
follow-up calls to existing clients and introductory calls to new clients
as appropriate.

·         Assists with the identification and research of new
schools/districts and organizations to initiate arts programming.

·         Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of
specific long-term projects, and after-school and summer programs.

·         Provides support and documentation for grant proposals as needed.

·         Assists with program tracking, including monthly, year to date,
and year-to-year statistics, and school return.

·         Assists in the planning and implementation of all projects and
activities of the Education Department such as programming and artist and
teacher professional development.

·         Participates in artist program evaluation and assists in the
application and audition process for potential new artists.

·         Supports Director of Programs and Director of Marketing in
PR/marketing efforts as related to education programs and specific
projects, including the annual program guide and website updates.

·         Other duties and activities as needed.



*Qualifications*

Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred

One-two years experience in arts, education or related field.

Strong interpersonal skills, along with communication and sales experience.

Creative problem solver with ability to work independently and as part of a
team.
Proficient user of PC’s, including Microsoft office, and database
management programs.

*Compensation*

Salary will be commensurate with that of similar organizations and the
ability and experience of candidate. CAL provides a benefit package for all
full time employees.
