THE PILLOWMAN: FINAL THREE PERFORMANCES THIS THU, FRI, SAT. SELLING OUT FAST.
ONLY A FEW SEATS LEFT FOR THU AND SAT.

"Here's a play you won't want to miss." [Herb Hammer, Chagrin Valley Times]

"because this play is a comedy, albeit a very dark one, all that is
macabre in Katurian’s stories and maniacal in the detective’s cruel
interrogation strategies is beautifully buffered by the sound of our own
laughter." [Bob Abelman, Cleveland Jewish News]

"this is the blackest of comedies that will have you laughing even as you
hear about children being tortured and murdered." [Christine Howey, The
Scene]

"Comedy is very difficult and dark comedy requires genius. Luckily, this
production has an exceptional cast." [Mark Horning, examiner.com]

THE PILLOWMAN, by Martin McDonagh, is a viciously funny psychological
thiller set in an unnamed totalitarian state, where a writer of short
stories which often depict violence against children, has been arrested by
two torture-bent detectives because some of his stories resemble recent
child murders. When he hears that his damaged brother has confessed to the
murders and implicated him, the writer resigns himself to his execution
but attempts to save his stories from destruction. The play includes both
narrations and reenactments of several of his bizarre stories, most
notably the autobiographical "The Writer and the Writer's Brother", which
tells how he developed his disturbed imagination.

The Pillowman has its final three performances this Thu-Sat at 8 pm at the
Liminis theater, 2438 Scranton Rd, Cleveland 44113. Tickets are $15
general
admission, $12 seniors (65+), $10 students. Reservations and info are
available at http://www.convergence-continuum.org and 216-687-0074.
