The Rubber City Shakespeare Company announces its  fall repertory season
featuring William Shakespeare’s *The Taming of the Shrew *and John Ford's *'Tis
Pity She's a Whore*.



Up first, *The Taming of the Shrew.*  Stylized in the 1920's, this witty
comedy takes some unexpected turns as Rubber City Shakespeare's hilariously
talented cast breathes new life into one of Shakespeare's classics.  Next
up, *'Tis Pity She's a Whore*, John Ford's exhilarating and controversial
retelling of Shakespeare's *Romeo and Juliet.*  Incest, Lust and Betrayal
take center stage in this production that is suited for mature audiences
only.



We begin the fall repertory season with Pay-As-You-Like-It preview
performances of *'Tis Pity She's a Whore *on October 22 and *The Taming of
the Shrew *on October 23. These are free performances, no reservations
needed, with donations accepted at the door. Opening night for *The Taming
of the Shrew* is on October 24 and opening night for *'Tis Pity She's a
Whore* is on October 25. The repertory runs Thursday through Sunday until
November 2, with both productions being  performed on October 25. All
evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday matinees
begin at 2 p.m.



Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students (14+), and $8 for
youth (7-13). Order tickets online at:www.rubbercityshakes.com/tickets.
Tickets are available an hour before show time at the door.



All performances will be located at our new home in the Summit Artspace
located at 140 East Market Street  Akron, Ohio 44308.
