AUDITION INFORMATION

AUDITION DATES & LOCATION: Sunday, November 9, beginning at 6:00pm, OR
Monday, November 10 beginning at 6:00pm. Callbacks, if needed, will be the
weekend of November 15.

Coach House Theatre is located at 732 W. Exchange St., Akron, Oh  44302

AUDITION APPOINTMENTS: To make an audition appointment, please send an
email with date and time window preference to
directors at coachhousetheatre.com.

AUDITION PREPARATION: Please prepare a 1-2 minute memorized monologue OR
you can read a monologue from the script that will be provided to you when
you arrive for your appointment.  Please arrive to your appointment 15-20
minutes early to fill out an audition form and so that you will have ample
time to look over a monologue from the script.

PERFORMANCE DATES: January 28 - February 22, 2015. Thursdays, Fridays and
Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:30pm.

ABOUT THE PLAY: In true Dame Agatha fashion, an elderly lady is murdered
during a weekend house party at her cliffside mansion, and every guest has
a reason to want her dead.

ROLES AVAILABLE: All roles are open except for Lady Tressillian. Non-AEA
actors appear in Coach House productions on a volunteer basis. There are no
AEA contracts available for this production. 7 males, 4 females.


   -

   Lady Camilla Tressilian: Host of her seaside home near Saltcreek. A
   widow in her early seventies. (already cast)
   -

   Mary Aldin: Lady Tressilian's maid, secretary & “dogsbody.”  30s - 40’s.

   -

   Nevile Strange: a handsome athlete and tennis player, former ward of
   Lady Tressilian's late husband. 20s - 30s.
   -

   Kay Strange: Nevile’s beautiful and emotional second wife, 20s.
   -

   Audrey Strange: Nevile’s first wife. She was orphaned young, raised with
   her cousins and aunt, the Roydes. 20s - 30s.
   -

   Ted Latimer: a friend of Kay since she was 15 years old. 20s - 30s.
   -

   Thomas Royde: On vacation from his work in the Malay states. A man of
   few words. He is in love with Audrey. 30s - 50s.
   -

   Mathew Treves: an old friend of Lady Tressilian; a distinguished lawyer
   of ripe experience and great shrewdness. 60s - 80s.
   -

   Inspector James Leach, local C.I.D. : Battle's nephew, assigned to the
   Saltcreek area. 30s - 40’s.
   -

   Superintendent Battle, C.I.D., Scotland Yard: Vacationing with nephew,
   he is assigned to the case with him; husband and father of five children,
   youngest of whom gives him an insight useful to solving this case. 40s -
   60s.
   -

   Police Constable Benson: Assist Leach and Battle. 20s.


REHEARSALS: There will be 5 weeks of rehearsal. 1.5 weeks from December 1 -
10, then a break for the holidays, then 3.5 weeks from January 4 - 27. For
the first four weeks, rehearsal days and times will be Sundays - Thursdays,
7:00 - 10:00pm. For tech week, the hours will be a bit longer. Actors will
only be called when needed for specific scenes, so they may not be needed
for all the rehearsals.
