The Akron Civic Theatre announces the audition dates 

for the Akron All - City Musical of Shrek

 

AKRON, Ohio (December 3, 2014) - The Akron Civic Theatre's All- City Musical
production of Shrek, The Musical, will hold auditions on Sunday, January 11,
2015  from 2:00 - 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 6:00 PM -
10:00 PM. Call backs will be on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:00 - 10:00
PM. Auditions are by appointment only and can be made by calling The Akron:
330-535- 3179 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM weekdays.

 

Auditions are open to current students, ages 14 - 18, grades 9 - 12 of
Summit County public and private high schools and age appropriate home
schooled students.

 

All auditions and most rehearsals will be held in Sandefur Theatre within
Guzzetta Hall on the campus of the University of Akron. Performances will be
held at the Akron Civic Theatre in Downtown Akron.

 

Technical rehearsals and performances to take place June 9 - 13, 2015.

 

Cast information: A wide array of roles for females and males. Many
backstage and technical positions are also available.

 

All performers should prepare a Broadway - style song of at least 12 bars
but not more than 16. A movement audition will be held as part of callbacks.
Each person auditioning should be prepared to complete a list of all
potential schedule conflicts.
