THE STORY:  EXACT CHANGE is a one-person show that traces the life-journey of playwright and performer Christine Howey-starting in 1945 as a boy, through his life as a husband and father, and culminating in the transition to Christine 45 years later. Both humorous and poignant, and employing many different voices, the play explores gender identity and gender transition from many angles, including the impact the process had on friends and loved ones. More than that, the play embodies the struggle all of us share to be the person we know ourselves to be.

The None Too Fragile Theater is a professional theater operating in Akron's Merriman Valley, right next to Pub Bricco.

None Too Fragile came into existence with the hope to aid in filling a local, adventurously-bold theatrical voice.  With a mindful concentration on modern and relevant productions, None Too Fragile aims to create an invigorated atmosphere for spirited dialogue between our audiences and some of Ohio's premiere Performing Artists through thought-provoking, heart-touching, and, at times, principle-challenging, character-driven storytelling.
