Wednesday January 14:       Auditions for Anne only,      6:30-7:30

*Those girls auditioning for Anne, be prepared to stay till approximately
8:30.

*Auditions will take place at the GLTG Arts Center at 106 Water Street*





*All girls auditioning for the role of Anne Frank will need to prepare a
serious monologue under a minute in length. Please do not do any monologues
from the Anne Frank script, although monologues from the original diary are
fine.*



*All other roles, please be prepared to read from the script, but a
monologue will not be necessary.*






*Anne Frank, must be able to convincingly play 13-15 years old— *Intelligent,
introspective, quick-witted, has occasional mood swings. A very real
teenage girl coming of age while in hiding. Her emotional growth and
maturity must be evident throughout the course of the show.



*Margot Frank, must be able to convincingly play 16-18 years old—*

Quiet, smart, struggling with the terror of the times. She must be able to
convincingly age two years throughout the course of the show.



*Peter Van Daan, must be able to play 16-18 years old—*

A shy, socially awkward teenage boy struggling with having his life turned
upside down. Forms a connection with Anne and slowly finds his voice.



*Otto Frank, in his 50s – *Anne and Margot’s father. Extremely intelligent,
practical, and the natural leader of the group. Well respected. A very
close bond with his daughter and wife.



*Edith Frank, in her 40s – *Anne and Margot’s mother. Sentimental and
critical. Has a difficult relationship with Anne, who finds her overbearing.



*Mrs. Van Daan, in her 40s/50s – *Peter’s mother. Flirtatious, egotistical,
hard to please.



*Mr. Van Daan, in her 40s/50s – *Peter’s father. Opinionated,
temperamental. Not afraid of conflict.



*Mr. Dussel, 30s-50s – *Pedantic and controlling. Slightly obsessive.



*Miep Gies, in her 20s – *Secretary who helps hide the group. Kind, brave,
willing to risk her life.



*Mr. Kraler, 40s-60s – *Friend of the Franks who helps them in hiding.
Struggles with his health.



*Rehearsal Information: Rehearsals begin the week of January 18*

*Show Dates: March 6-8, 13-15, 20-22. *

*Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.*
