Seeking Director Submissions for 

Artists' Choice: Black Box Series at Coach House Theatre

minimum set, maximum theatre

 

Have a perfect project you've been dying to be able to do?  Coach House
Theatre is seeking director submissions for the 2015 Artists' Choice: Black
Box Series.

 

Production dates:  April 6 & 7, 2015

 

Coach House Theatre is a 93-seat proscenium theatre in downtown Akron, with
an 87 year performance history.  Every season we present a five show
Subscription Series, four Elder Theatre Series rehearsed readings, and, most
recently, one Black Box show, designed to add a more contemporary, edgier
element to our traditional programming.

 

Requirements:

Performance rights to the script must be available.

Small cast, minimal technical requirements.

Show rehearses and performs on the set of Children of a Lesser God

Rehearsals must be carefully coordinated to not conflict with rehearsals and
performances of Children of a Lesser God (which runs March 26 to April 19,
with no performances between March 30 and April 8)

Application deadline: January 31

 

Last season's Artists' Choice show was Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.

Winning submission will be selected by Artistic Director/Board of Director
Committee.
