Stow Players Bring Back the Stylings of Frank Sinatra

"Ol' Blue Eyes" lives again when Stow Players continues its 61st
season of quality community theater with their winter musical, My Way: A
Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra at The Heritage Barn in Stow's Silver
Springs Park (access from Young Rd. entrance only). A nostalgic
song-and-dance revue, My Way captures the pivotal moments in Sinatra's
well-known, iconic life. From the swinging 40's to the bright lights of
60's Las Vegas to his firm lock on legend status in the 90's, My Way
incorporates songs pulled from across the Chairman of the Board's musical
career.

Director (and choreographer) Chanda Porter of Cuyahoga Falls and
Music Director Dave Stebbins of Stow lead a cast of spirited, talented
singers for this production, featuring Shelly Palumbo of Kent, Kyla Williger
of Cuyahoga Falls, Ron Cuirle of Hudson, and Jay Sigler of Akron. They'll
be performing great classics like "Strangers in the Night," "I've Got You
Under My Skin," "Fly Me to the Moon," and, of course, "New York, New York."
The musical numbers - and there are over 50 of them - are interspersed with
Sinatra lore: He swam laps to improve his breath control, some days he sang
as many as 100 songs on the radio and at other appearances, he was "Chairman
of the Board of "The Rat Pack," and he loved the ladies. In addition to
music director Stebbins, the signature Sinatra music will be provided by
Johnny Rocco, and Tom Pierson, both of Cuyahoga Falls. Jared McGrath of
Akron is serving as Stage Manager for the production.

This popular revue by David Grapes and Todd Olson opens on
Friday, January 30, and runs for four weekends, through February 21, 2015.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 8:00 pm, and there is one Sunday
matinee, February 8, at 2:30 pm. Ticket prices are $14 for General
Admission and $12 for Senior Citizens and students. An opening night
special (January 30) BOGO gives anyone who purchases a General Admission
ticket (NOT senior/student/comp) the chance to purchase a second ticket for
$5. On Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14, with each ticket purchased
the patron will receive a coupon for a glass of wine (or other beverage) and
chocolates.

All Stow Players performances are in The Heritage Barn in Stow's
Silver Springs Park, with access from the back entrance on Young Road only.
