Washed up on the shores of Lake Superior, a Victorian woman ventures into an abandoned lighthouse with tricks up her sleeve. There, she unexpectedly encounters a Mother Superior in pink and an African priestess with a very large comb in her hair. As they drink, smoke and eat fish and past-their-expiration-date sno-balls, the trio await the arrival of The Novitiate.

“Superior” is the fourth and final installment of Regnier’s “The S Plays”. These plays traverse haunting landscapes, blend the otherworldly with real world crimes but sparkle with a glimmer of hope and healing.

Juliette Regnier began creating original work in 1999 as a cabaret artist. She has developed, written, producedand performed four original cabarets, including Shades of Blue and Elsewhere. In 2000, she began to write plays. The first of four piecescalled "The S Plays", Shorn, debuted in 2007 at DobamaTheatre. In 2013, she was chosen to be the Inaugural Nord Playwriting Fellow atCleveland Public Theatre to work on the second and third plays in the series, Soiledand Sisters.
