Stage Combat Workshops

Elementary Ninjas (Grades 2-5)

10am to noon

 

Middle-High Warriors (Grades 6-9)

1 to 3 pm

 

Aurora Community Theatre presents two Stage Combat Workshops for young actors. Each session will
begin with an overview of violence as self expression and how it can be useful in a theatrical
setting for storytelling. Students will learn acting techniques for punches, blocks, parries, falls,
rolls, hair pulls, eye gouges and more.

 

Instructor John Evenden, a professional stunt man and fight director, is a tested and certified
member of the Society of American Fight Directors and SAG-AFTRA Stuntman. Evenden has worked as a
fight director or stunt performer for 

Tony Award-winning theaters, full budget features, independent films, 

commercials, and live stunt shows. 

 

Workshops will be held at 

Aurora Community Theatre

 115 E. Pioneer Trail

 

$25 per child

Space is limited to 20 per students per session.
