BEREA, OHIO... Baldwin Wallace University's Department of Theatre and Dance will present the legendary play, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" by Tennessee Williams, February 4-15. The classic, southern drama, touted by many as "the greatest American drama ever written," is directed by Jack Winget, who is responsible for coloring BW stages with lively interpretations of Noises Off and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

The memorable Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a look into the life of a family in a desperate search for the truth as a storm brews on the Mississippi Delta. According to Winget, "In this piece there are not villains. We don't only focus on the passionate, rocky marriage of Brick and Maggie. I think it's important audiences see Big Mama's attempt to keep her family together, Big Daddy's attempt to straighten out his son's bad habits, and Gooper and Mae's attempt to provide for their own little unit. It's all about good intentions and where they lead the characters."

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof runs February 4-7 and 11-14 at 7:30 p.m. and February 8 and 15 at 2 p.m. in the William Allman Theater at Kleist Center for Art and Drama, 95 E. Bagley Road, Berea. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for senior citizens and students. Call the box office at 440-826-2240 Monday-Friday from Noon to 5 p.m. or visit www.bw.edu/tickets<http://www.bw.edu/tickets>. ?
