**Akron Design & Costume LLC is a nationally recognized brand 
specializing in theater, mascots, masquerade accessories and year-round 
costumes. Their costume supply house features a 10,000 sq. ft. retail 
and rental facility located in Akron, OH.

*
Position: Customer Service Associate*
A Customer Service Associate is responsible for providing a range of 
routine customer service and support for retail and rental customers. 
The associate is also responsible for processing orders, cashiering, 
simple maintenance, inventory, packing shipments, and stocking.

*Nature of Work:*

This position typically reports to the Manager, Owner, or other 
appropriate administrators. The CSA is responsible for interacting with 
customers to provide information regarding specific products. The CSA 
must possess strong customer service skills and a working knowledge of 
the products they sell. This position requires excellent communication 
skills and problem solving abilities. The incumbent must also be able to 
handle and resolve customer inquires. The CSA may also be responsible 
for restocking shelves, maintaining merchandising and visual display 
standards, implementing stock control, and maintaining appropriate sales 
records.

*Responsibilities:*

·Operates computerized cash register to conduct sales transactions; 
handles cash, and makes change as required.

·Sells merchandise and/or rents costumes; advises customers on 
merchandise price, features, and/or on fees and services.

·Assists individual and/or institutional customers in the ordering and, 
as appropriate, delivery of merchandise.

·Receives and displays merchandise in accordance with established 
policies and procedures; ensures that stock levels and displays are in 
accordance with established standards.

·Effectively communicates with customers, staff and others.

·Prepares inventory sheets, signage, basic contracts and other 
documentation.

·Efficiently and securely packages merchandise for shipment.

·Unpacks and checks received merchandise accurately.

·Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

·Exhibits a wide range of information­gathering techniques; identifies essential information 


·Establishes tasks and priorities and sets schedules to meet deadlines

·Pays attention to details and double checks for accuracy

*Proficiencies:*

•Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

*Physical requirements:*

  * Ability to climb 6 foot ladders and lift up to 40 pounds

*Minimum Qualification Requirements:*

  * This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with one
    year of experience in a customer service or retail environment.

*Hours:*20-24 hours per week.

*Compensation:*$9/hr
