Caryl Crane Youth Theatre kicks off its 25th year at BGSU Firelands College with a production of the iconic Broadway musical, AUNTIE MAME! Playing the McBride Auditorium through February 8, 2015, this classic Jerry Herman musical centers around Mame Dennis, a well-to-do eccentric without a care in the world until she becomes the guardian of her ten-year-old nephew, Patrick. Now it's up to her to open new windows and show the boy worlds he never knew existed. Through the Roaring 20s and the Great Depression, Mame teaches Patrick how to "live, live, live"-whether he's willing or not. It's the dazzling musical that proves life's a banquet, featuring the classic songs "We Need a Little Christmas," "It's Today," "Bosom Buddies" and, of course, "Mame."



Featuring a cast of 40 from 16 area schools, AUNTIE MAME is directed by CCYT Artistic Director Brian Marshall, with choreography by Pierre-Jacques Brault and musical direction by Ryan Neal. AUNTIE MAME plays on the McBride Auditorium stage in the North Building on BGSU Firelands Campus February 5 and 6 at 7:30 pm and February 7 and 8 at 2:00 pm.
