Caryl Crane Youth Theatre celebrates the start of its 25th year at BGSU Firelands College with a production of the iconic Broadway musical, MAME! Playing the McBride Auditorium through February 8, 2015, this classic Jerry Herman musical centers around Mame Dennis, a well-to-do eccentric without a care in the world until she becomes the guardian of her ten-year-old nephew, Patrick. Now it's up to her to open new windows and show the boy worlds he never knew existed. Through the Roaring 20s and the Great Depression, Mame teaches Patrick how to "live, live, live"-whether he's willing or not. It's the dazzling musical that proves life's a banquet, featuring the classic songs "We Need a Little Christmas," "It's Today," "Bosom Buddies" and, of course, "Mame."



Featuring a cast of 40 from 16 area schools, MAME is directed by CCYT Artistic Director Brian Marshall, with choreography by Pierre-Jacques Brault and musical direction by Ryan Neal. MAME plays on the McBride Auditorium stage in the North Building on BGSU Firelands Campus February 5 and 6 at 7:30 pm and February 7 and 8 at 2:00 pm. All seats are under $15 and can be purchased at by calling the Sandusky State Theatre central ticketing office at 419-626-1950 or online at www.sanduskystate.com.



Recommended for children ages 8 and up. Rated PG.
