Conservatory For Performing Arts

Jack, a newly retired union worker, is beginning to realize everything he
knows and is comfortable with, is now gone. His wife Julie, on the other
hand, is ready to embark on new adventures. Much to Jack’s chagrin - as
many retired couples do - they move and start life
anew. This play follows Jack and Julie through their first months of
retirement.

Characters: 2 male and 2 female

Jack – In his early 60’s, but doesn’t look it. He is retired from a long
life as a machinist in a company he hated. He saw a few to many of his
friends had by the corporation. He is not bitter just aware that he spent
the majority of his life as a cog in the big machine. He is married, to
Julie, with a son Brian.

Julie – Is younger than Jack by 9 years. She is a very preppy lady, who is
not ready to call it quits. Julie has worked many years living as a
housewife.

Multiple Character Roles:
One male and one female - Late 30's to early 50's. Strong comedic
background and character development. Able to quickly transform into
different characters throughout the show.
