The TrueNorth Chamber Orchestra is proud to present an to chances to enjoy distinctively lively early works by Mendelssohn, Shostakovich, and Beethoven. A master of each period they lived, the three works on this program carry youthful joy and vigor. Various soloists join the orchestra for powerful and at times sarcastic music in Shostakovich's first piano concerto, while Mendelssohn's overture and Beethoven's first symphony propel the listener through sweeping melodies and relentless energy. Two concerts sure to delight, we welcome all to experience the music with us!
