*THE PLAYERS GUILD ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR MISS NELSON IS MISSING*

The Players Guild Theatre announces upcoming auditions for MISS NELSON IS
MISSING, under the direction of Donald Jones, who most recently directed
the Guild’s very successful production of THE CAT IN THE HAT. In addition,
Mr. Jones is best known for playing the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in the
Players Guild Theatre’s production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL for the past 5
seasons.

Based on and adapted from the popular children’s book by Harry Allard and
James Marshall, MISS NELSON IS MISSING, is a comedy adapted for the stage
by Jeffrey Hatcher.

The kids in Room 207 were misbehaving again! Spitballs stuck to the
ceiling. Paper planes whizzing through the air. They were the worst-behaved
class in the whole school! Miss Nelson can’t control her crazy classroom
because she’s just too nice. But when she disappears, her replacement is
the hard-as-nails, detention-loving, recess-canceling, homework-overloading
substitute teacher Viola Swamp! With the Big Test approaching, the kids
suddenly realize how much they miss Miss Nelson and they’ll do anything --
including hiring a private eye -- to solve the mystery of her disappearance
and bring her back! You’ll love this wonderful lesson of “be careful what
you wish for ‘cause you just might get it”!

Auditions for this W.G. Fry Theatre comedy will be held at the Players
Guild Theatre located in the Cultural Center for the Arts, 1001 Market Ave
N., on Sunday, March 1 from 6:30 – 9:30 PM. The Players Guild is seeking
adults ages 16 years and older for all roles. All roles are available and
non-traditional casting will be considered for all roles. Those auditioning
are asked to please prepare a short monologue which best showcases their
range of acting skills. Additionally, actors are asked to bring a current
headshot and resume (if available, but not required) with them to their
audition. Interested parties should sign up for a time slot by filling out
the available online form at www.playersguildtheatre.com or by leaving a
message and including their name, age, phone number and preferred half-hour
