The Parma Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 3:00 PMat Valley Forge High School Auditoriumlocated at 9999 Independence Boulevard in Parma Heights. 

Music Director Dr. Randolph P. Laycock will present: Brian Bigley on Uilleann Pipes performing“The Brendan Voyage” by Shaun Davey.  Also on the programare Polovetsian Dances by Alexander Borodin, and Beethoven’s “Lenore Overture #2” The orchestra, in its 46thseason consists of 75 members of all walks of life from all over the entireGreater Cleveland area.  They meet weekly for rehearsals and present atleast four concerts annually.

General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniorcitizens.  Family passes of $20 are available for families of up to 2adults and their children.  All tickets are available at the doorbeginning at 2:30 PM.

So, at the age of eight he began studying the uilleann pipeswith Achill Island piper Michael Kilbane and taking dance lessons with BobbyMasterson.  Since then, Brian competedwith distinction at the World Irish Dance Championships twice, and placed firstin Senior Piping at the Midwest Fleadh Ceol. He has toured extensivelythroughout North America and Europe as a piper, flute player, whistle player,and dancer. He has appeared with the Chieftains at Carnegie Hall, TomaseenFoley's "A Celtic Christmas," Apollo's Fire in their"Countryside Concerts," The Contemporary Youth Orchestra as a soloistfor the performance of "Symphonic Led Zeppelin," legendary PiperPaddy Keenan, et al.  
Not only does he playthe pipes, but also makes them, having apprenticed with Seth Gallagher andPatrick Olwell.  
Brian lives nearCleveland with his fiddler wife, Kristen and son, James.
