The Director's Pitch: Concept Design and Persuasive Dialogue
You have a great idea, but how do you communicate that idea to designers, actors, artistic directors, or your supporters? The Director's Pitch will be an interactive discussion about conceptualizing material and effectively expressing your vision.   Topics will include dreaming up your initial concept, selling your vision to your producer, and collaborating with artists to fulfill your vision.   Participants will be given the opportunity to informally "pitch" a real or dream project and receive feedback on the presentation. Recommended reading: Advance copies of the short play On Facebook from Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays will be available and used as a reference point.

Orthodox Church Space is located at 6201 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102 on the Cleveland Public Theatre Campus.

*         Reading: Advance copies of the short play On Facebook from Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays will be available and used as a reference point.

*         Preparing your "Pitch"

CRAIG GEORGE BIOGRAPHY
Craig J. George is a New York City based director whose credits include, Off-Broadway: Taming of the Shrew: Extreme (The Duke on 42nd Street) and over a dozen world premieres, including: Titus: A Grand and Gory Rock Musical (CPT), God's Country (New York Musical Theatre Festival, Signature Theatre), The Aperture (CPT & FringeNYC), Cursing Macbeth (Harold Clurman Theater), Kiss My Brutal Hands (United Solo Festival, NYC) and Alfred Kinsey: A Love Story (Michael Weller Theater, NYC).  Regional: M4M (CPT) Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, Taming of the Shrew (Hamptons Shakespeare Festival).  Other theaters worked at include South Coast Repertory, George Street Playhouse, The New Group, West Side Theatre, York Theatre Company, New Jersey Repertory and Penguin Repertory.
