*TCT's 2015 Mainstage Season:*

*ROSALYNDE & THE FALCON March 28 – April 19*

By David Hansen

Rosalynde's evil uncle, the King, forces her to run away from a throne that
should be hers, go into clever disguise, and rely on the help of a trio of
wily, wacky thieves she meets in the forest. Tangling Robin Hood, Snow
White, and Shakespeare together with hilarious results, this tale tells the
story of bumbling banditry, mixed-up secret identities, and unexpected
friendship. But will they all live happily ever after?

*THE SILENT PRINCESS – A Turkish Folktale June 6 – 28*

Adapted by Claire Robinson May

The Padishah's son is sick with loneliness, despite his family's riches.
His dearest wish is to be best friends with the Silent Princess. But the
Silent Princess sees no reason to talk to anyone. She has sworn to befriend
only the person who can convince her to break her silence. With the help of
his magical mouse companion, can the Padishah's son persuade the Silent
Princess to speak - and be his friend?

*FINN McCOOL – A Tale of Irish Mythology September 19 – October 11*

Adapted by Christopher Johnston

Sean and Siobhan are the only children in Farffetchedtown who don't have a
story to tell. While riding their bikes to school, they run into a great
teller of tales on his way to the Ancient Festival of Storytellers. He
tells them the tale of Finn McCool, the greatest giant in all of Ireland!
Afraid of absolutely nothing, he is. Well, except for maybe one "wee little
thing" — Cuchulin, the greatest giant in all of Scotland! And maybe the
entire world! When Finn learns that his one arch rival for giganticness is
traveling to his house to fight him… well. With a little help from his wife
Una, Finn has a fighting chance. Thanks to the fairies and leprechauns
along the road, Sean and Siobhan find Finn McCool's magic house and get
ready to witness the most gigantic battle of giants the world has ever
known! If you're looking to learn a good story to tell, you might want to
join them.

*PRINCE IVAN & THE FIREBIRD – A Russian Tale of Magic November 28 –
December 20*

Adapted by Alison Garrigan

Prince Ivan just wants to be happy. He doesn't want riches, or fame, or
even his father, the Tsar's kingdom. When the magical silver apples from
the Tsar's famous garden start to disappear, it looks like his wish is far
from coming true. Tricked into finding the thief by his wily, greedy (and
lazy) older brothers, Ivan sets out to make things right. He gets more than
he bargains for when he befriends a talking wolf who promises to help him,
if he'll follow his new ally through a series of funny, and some-times
nail-biting-breath-holding, enchanted quests. Along the way, he meets up
with some very strange creatures, indeed—and begins to wonder just exactly
what he's gotten himself into! Join TCT for this imaginative re-telling of
the tale that inspired Stravinsky's stunning Firebird Suite, and celebrate
the holidays with music, mirth, puppets, and magic for the whole family.
