SEX, DRUGS AND SCIENCE IN THE 17TH CENTURY!

ISAAC'S EYE OPENS FRI, MARCH 20 AT CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM.

convergence-continuum, kicks off its 2015 Season with the Ohio premiere of
Lucas Hnath’s modern send-up of old-fashioned historical dramas, ISAAC’S
EYE.

Isaac Newton was one weird dude! As a young man, he stuck a long needle
through his tear duct all the way to the back of his eye. And then he
moved it around! -- for real! No one now knows why or what he was trying
to prove by this risky experiment.

Lucas Hnath has used this weird factoid, along with lots of other actual
historical facts, and a whole bunch of made-up stuff involving Isaac’s
sort-of fiancée Catherine and a startlingly lecherous (again, for real)
scientist Sir Robert Hooke, to create a highly original and truly quirky
look at what drove the brilliant but troubled rural farm boy, Isaac, to
become one of the world’s greatest thinkers.

Isaac’s Eye is directed by convergence-continuum’s Artistic Director,
Clyde Simon, and features company actors Amy Bistok Bunce, Bobby Coyne,
Robert Branch and Jonathan Wilhelm.

Isaac’s Eye opens Fri, March 20 and runs Thu-Sat at 8 pm through April 11
at the Liminis theater, 2438 Scranton Rd, Cleveland 44113. Tickets are $15
general admission, $12 seniors, $10 students. Reservations and
information are available at http://www.convergence-continuum.org and
216-687-0074.
