Singer/songwriter Diana Tyler will deliver a musical keynote address at the
April 11 Northeast Ohio Christian Writers Conference.  The conference, an
annual event that focuses on the craft of writing with a Christian
influence, is for writers at any stage of their career aspirations.  This
year's gathering again will take place at Heritage Presbyterian Church,
Amherst.  

 

Topic choices and speakers this year include:

How to Write with a Moral Compass in a Mainstream World - Robert J. Moore

How to Get Started in Freelance Writing - James O. Barnes and Kelly Boyer
Sagert

Publishing & Getting Published - James O. Barnes

The Skinny on Short Stories - Regina M. Geither

Putting Your Faith into Words (Devotionals Writing Workshop) - Kelly Boyer
Sagert

Creating Your Brand - Robert J. Moore

Writing for Magazines - Maria Cauley

The Seven Deadly Sins of Book Promotion - Richard E. Todd

Writing from the Heart (Romance and Women's Fiction) - Debbie Alferio

 

                During the luncheon keynote address (Common Ground: Prose,
Poetry, Psalms, and [P]Such), Tyler will share ideas on various types of
writing disciplines, using her songs as examples and sharing origins of the
songs' inspiration.  In addition to songs about faith, Tyler has penned
comedy songs and social justice anthems, with occasional detours into topics

The conference will also include an opening speaker and will close with a
round-table discussion by the conference presenters.

 

Pre-registration for the 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. event is just $20 ($25 at the
door) and includes a continental breakfast, and lunch.
