[NEohioPAL] Ted Neeley to attend Cinematheque screening of "Jesus Christ Superstar" movie

The 1973 film version of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera/Passion play JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR will receive a special screening, with three of the movie's stars in attendance, on Monday, March 30, at 7:00 pm at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, 11141 East Boulevard in University Circle. Attending will be Ted Neeley (Jesus), Barry Dennen (Pontius Pilate-not only in the movie but also on the original JCS concept album and on Broadway), and Bob Bingham (Caiaphas).

All three men will answer audience questions from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. At 7:30 Norman Jewison's film, which is rated G and lasts 107 minutes, will be shown in a new digital restoration. After the movie, the three special guests will greet fans and sign autographs.

Tickets to the event cost $12; Cinematheque members $9; age 25 & under $8. $12 and $9 tickets can be purchased in advance at jcsuperstar.brownpapertickets.com. If seats remain, $8 will go on sale starting at 6 pm on 3/30 at the Cinematheque box office, cash and check only.
