With Mother's Day just around the corner, Chagrin Valley Little
Theatre's production of MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD is ready to give you a
hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, reminder of what a joyful, silly,
maddening experience motherhood can be. MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD is a series
of vignettes conceived by Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein, and directed by
CVLT veteran Barbara L. Rhoades. Four actors (Jenny Barrett, Sue Cohen,
Claudia Esposito and Neil Oblonsky) play roughly twenty different roles.
The viewpoints vary as widely as the range of playwrights commissioned
to tell the stories

In the course of the evening, audiences share in many challenging
motherhood moments; explaining adoption to an adopted daughter,
realizing that a child is transgender, worrying about a child in the
military, searching for a surrogate, broaching the topics of
menstruation and birth control. MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD, like motherhood
itself, is a wonderful roller coaster of laughter, sorrow, and perplexity.

CVLT is generously funded by Cuyahoga County residents through Cuyahoga
Arts and Culture and supported by the Ohio Arts Council. CVLT is a proud
member of the American Association of Community Theatre.
