[NEohioPAL] SALEM COMMUNITY THEATRE SEEKS MUSICAL DIRECTOR FOR "SWEENEY TODD" (PAID POSITION)

SALEM, OHIO – Salem Community Theatre is interviewing applicants for *Musical
Director *for its fall production of *"Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of
Fleet Street,"* directed by *Michael Dempsey.*
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 2 PM, *October
30 through November 8 *and rehearsals will begin the *last week in
August*. Rehearsals
are typically Sun-Thurs evenings.
Rehearsals and performances will be held at Salem Community Theatre, 490
East State Street, Salem OH 44460.

Director Michael Dempsey has a long and impressive background as a
professional actor, director, playwright and novelist.  Recent local
productions include YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (Hathaway Brown
Theatre Institute; winner of Broadway.com's regional award for Best Youth
Production), OF MICE AND MEN (TrueNorth Cultural Arts), THE LAST FIVE YEARS
(SCT), JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (SCT and Players Guild of Canton),  AN
EVENING IN MICHAEL DEMPSEY'S SHORTS (Rust Belt Theatre Company), I AM MY
OWN WIFE (Oakland Center for the Arts), INTO THE WOODS (SCT), MACBETH and
CURTAINS (Youngstown Playhouse).
