America's Got Bollywood at Cleveland Asian Festival

Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Asian Festival delights their attendees each
year with dozens of colorful acts representing culture from all over Asia.
The Cleveland Asian Festival has also become known for bringing in a
national act each year as a special treat.  This year get ready for
America's Got Bollywood. 

The 2015 Cleveland Asian Festival will feature the Mona Khan Company, a
critically acclaimed Bollywood dance & fitness company based in the San
Francisco Bay Area. Their dance troupe has an extensive repertoire which
includes performances with numerous Bollywood singers and actors like Shah
Rukh Khan, Shaan and Shankar Mahadevan.

In 2010, the Mona Khan Company (www.monakhancompany.com) was chosen out of
70,000 acts across the nation to be in the Top 48 on the NBC show, America's
Got Talent, Season 5! The company has also performed at NBA half-time shows,
and they represented Bollywood dance at the prestigious San Francisco Ethnic
Dance Festival. In 2013, they were invited to perform at an Inaugural Ball
in Washington D.C. in honor of President Obama's second term in office. More
recently, the troupe was featured at the Oprah Winfrey tour "The Life You
Always Wanted." 

Attendees will have an opportunity to see the Mona Khan Company both on
Saturday and Sunday at the Cleveland Asian Festival.  Other featured
performances include a Lion Dance, Dragon Dance and a look at Cosplay and
Asian anime.  With two performance stages featuring acrobatics, martial
arts, music and dance in colorful costumes ranging from traditional to
modern, the Cleveland Asian Festival offers something for all tastes. 

Performance Committee Chair Yin Tang said, ""The Cleveland Asian Festival
continues to bring vibrant Asian culture to the city through colorful song,
dance, and martial arts."

About the 2015 Cleveland Asian Festival

The 2015 Cleveland Asian Festival will be held May 16th & 17th, 2015 on
Payne Ave between East 30th and East 27th Street in Cleveland.  Admission
and Parking are free.
