*Actors’ Summit announces auditions *


*for its 2015 -2016 season.*


 The theater’s Mission is to create professional theater using Ohio artists.

Our 2015 – 2016 season includes:




*Quilters* *10/8-11/1     *Rehearsals begin Sept. 7th; 2015  *( this is a
play with  music; seeking women who sing and act; and move well,  looking
for a very diverse cast)  *



*Guys on Ice* *11/25-12/22*       Rehearsals begin Oct 25, 2015



*Same Time Next Year* *1/21-2/7    *  Rehearsals begin Dec 15, 2015



*Chapatti 2/25-3/13*        Rehearsals begin Jan 25, 2016



*Talley’s Folly 4/14-5/1*      Rehearsals begin Mar. 15, 2016



*Tintypes 5/19-6/19*       Rehearsals begin April 10, 2016 *(seeking 2
men/3 women who sing and dance.  This show is all music and dance. Also
looking for a very diverse cast)   *



All performances are Thursday, Friday and Sat evenings at 8 PM; Sundays at
2 PM.



Not all roles are available as some have been precast with members of our
acting company.  Same Time Next Year  and Guys On Ice have been cast.

Auditions are open to all Equity and non-Equity professionals.  Auditioners
must be at least 18 years old.  Actors are asked to come prepared with 3
copies of their headshot stapled to their performance resume.  Actors under
18 will NOT be auditioned.



*All performers at Actors’ Summit are compensated.  Non-Equity performers
are paid on a per performance basis. *



*Actors’ Summit is committed to Non-Traditional Casting.  Except in cases
where race, gender, age, or disability is essential to the play, all roles
will be cast on the basis of talent.*



Auditions will be held at the Actors’ Summit theater on Tuesday;  August
4th; from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m.  Auditions are by appointment ONLY.

Those requesting an audition must include full name, phone number and email
in order to secure an audition time slot.


*Each actor will have one and a half minutes for their memorized
presentation.  A single contemporary comedic monologue is requested.*



*For auditions slots for our musicals please bring your pre-recorded
accompaniment on your I-Phone or MP-3 player in the original show key.*

*We will have speakers available for your IPhone or MP-3 player.  *



Auditions will take place at the theater:  Greystone Hall, 103 S High St,
6th Floor, Akron, OH 44308.  Free parking is available. No phone calls will
be accepted.



*This is the only time Actors’ Summit has scheduled for open auditions for
the 2015 - 2016 season.  *

*Auditioners who cannot attend, are encouraged to submit headshots and
resumes to alexanderm at actorssummit.org <info at actorssummit.org>.*

*Actors' Summit is also accepting resumes via email for stage management
positions.*
