Voice of Canton, Inc. Open Auditions & Open Rehearsals for the 2015-2016
Season 

 

Voices of Canton, Inc. invites men and women who have a passion for singing
to audition for the 2015-2016 Season. Applicants should be high school
graduates or older with previous choral experience. The audition will
consist of singing a prepared solo in any language, vocalizing and sight
singing. A pianist is provided. Please call the business office at
330-455-1000 to arrange an audition time. 

 

Two special open rehearsals will be held on Nov. 17th,  2015 & April 19th,
2016 at  7PM in Cable Recital Hall in the Cultural Center, 1001 N. Market in
Canton. Be a part of the fun! Sing some great music, meet some great people
and enjoy refreshments on us. 

 

VOCI, formerly Canton Civic Opera, has been performing opera, operettas,
musicals, major works, madrigals and musical revues for the public of
greater Canton for 75 seasons. Currently, VOCI is a 90 voice auditioned
community choir which performs 4 major programs per season. The organization
is passionately pursuing its' mission to educate, inspire and unite through
the performance of choral art. In April of 2015, the chorus was honored by
an invitation by the National Gallery of Art to perform with the National
Gallery of Art Orchestra in a performance of Richard Bales', "Civil War
Cantatas" in honor of the composers 100th birthday.
