·      Whatto prepare: 16 bars of a song (preferably not from the show). Bring sheet music inyour key laid out for an accompanist. An accompanist will be provided. Noacappella or taped music. Bring a current resume and head shot.

WednesdayAddams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love witha sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents havenever met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, she confides in her father andbegs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's neverdone before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything willchange for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner forWednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents. This magnificently macabrenew musical comedy is created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman &Rick Elice.  Come meet the family. We'll leave the lights off for you.

GOMEZADDAMS: Male,Baritone/Bass, Low B-flat to High G.
Aman who takes great pride in his family and revels in all it means to be an“Addams.” He struggles with having to keep his daughters secret from his wife,whom he adores more than death. Gomez is a smart, comedic actor with tenorvocals.
 

MORTICIAADDAMS: Female -Mezzo-Soprano/Alto - Low G to High B-Flat.


 S
heis in shape, attractive, leggy woman, the strength of the family. She is aneasy comedic actress with a sexy, dry wit. Feels her husband is hidingsomething from her and will use any tactic to lure the secret out. Morticia isa strong dancer/mover with alto/mezzo soprano vocals. 


 
UNCLEFESTER: Male,Tenor/Baritone, Low C to High C.


 
Festeris the androgynous family member who serves as the musicals narrator. He islarger than life, an energetic, joyous, child-like presence. Fester is avaudeville style comedian with tenor vocals. 

WEDNESDAYADDAMS: Female,Soprano/Mezzo Soprano, Low A to 4th Space E.

Sheis an attractive, in shape girl who has the same dry wit and sensibility of hermother. Finds love with a “normal” boy (Lucas) and wants to introduce hisfamily to hers. She experiences the youthful drama that comes with first love.Lucas can actually put a smile on her face. Wednesday has strong pop beltvocals.
 

GRANDMA: Female, Soprano, 2nd LineG to High F (top of staff).


 
Sheis a feisty 102 year old woman. Fun and quirky, but don’t mess with Grandma.Grandma is a comedic actress with strong character vocals.

 

PUGSLEYADDAMS: Pre teenmale, Tenor, Low A to High F (top of staff).


 
Heis a charming, funny, husky boy who loves being tortured by his sister. Hewants to ensure he won’t lose his sister to her new boyfriend so he takesmatters into his own hands. Pugsley has Strong, high vocals. Voice not yetchanged. 

LURCH: Male, Bass, Low E-Flat to E (abovemiddle)


 
Lurchis a very tall male character, the Addams butler who knows all. He speaks inmoans and groans without becoming a cartoon version of himself. His movement isalways very slow. Lurch is a character actor with low bass vocals to Eb. 

MALBEINEKE: Male,Tenor/Baritone, Low C to High A.


 
Malis the stuffy father of 19 year old Lucas and exasperated husband to hisrhyming wife, Alice. At one time was a follower of The Grateful Dead but haslost that side of him. Mal is always looking out for his family. Mal is an actorwith high baritone/ tenor vocals.

 

ALICEBEINEKE: Female,Soprano, Low A-Flat to High G-Sharp

Aliceis the mother of 19 year old Lucas, devoted to her family so she puts aside herown desires. She is an in shape, quirky female who often speaks in rhyme. Whileat the Addams Family dinner party, she drinks a potion that causes her to lether hair down and speak her truth. Alice is a comedic actress with soprano /belt vocals.
 

LUCASBEINEKE: Male,19, Tenor/Baritone, Low C to High C.


 
Lucasis attractive, in shape young man. Fell in love with Wednesday Addams and plansto marry her. Experiences the youthful pain and drama of young love andstruggles with the differences between his family and the Addams family. Lucashas contemporary pop tenor vocals. 

THEANCESTORS: Maleand female ensemble, various ages, singers/dancers.  They should have knowledgeof tango and flamenco dancing a plus.
