convergence-continuum will hold auditions for our upcoming production of
"The Happy Sad" by Ken Urban on SUNDAY, AUGUST 23 AT 7 PM, AT THE LIMINIS
THEATER, 2438 SCRANTON RD, CLEVELAND 44113 (in the Tremont neighborhood).

It's a crazy sexy show with music about folks deciding they don't need a
label to be themselves! Come celebrate the new sexual revolution 21st
century style - with just a touch of hipster influence. There are 4 male
and 3 female roles, (age range: 20'-30's) and all sing at some point: a
few will need to be pretty good singers, a couple others not as much.

The Happy Sad
opens Fri, Oct 2 and runs Thu-Sat thru Oct 24
directed by Tyson Douglas Rand
music director, Clyde Simon

Armed with art and flowers, Stan brunches with his girlfriend Annie only
to discover that she wants to take a break. Aaron suggests to his
boyfriend Marcus that they make a change in their long-term relationship.
The lives of these two couples become intertwined when Stan and Marcus
meet online and hook up. Meanwhile all their other friends have their own
complex interlocked love triangles. A comedy with songs, "The Happy Sad"
takes on open relationships, sexual confusion and figuring out what you
really want from life.

Call backs, if necessary, would happen on Monday the 24th and Tyson will
start right in with a table read and scheduling work on the 25th - and
start table work and couples work that Wed the 26th, Mon the 31st, Tues &
Wed Sept. 1st & 2nd. Rehearsal in the theater space would start the week
of Sept 6th giving us three full weeks before we start tech week.

Step One? Get cast!

If you available to join us on Sunday the 23rd from 7 to 10 to have a
group audition reading from the script with much part swapping and
jocularity, and some singing as well, please let us know by responding to
this email. It will be the funnest audition you've ever been to and it
might get you into the craziest cast you've ever worked with too!

Thanks!
Clyde
