    CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG

Based on the beloved 1968 film, with music by Richard M. and Robert B. 
Sherman. Caractacus Potts and his two children join up with Truly 
Scrumptious, daughter of a candy company magnate, aboard the fantastical 
titular car to rescue Grandpa Potts from the nasty Baron Bomburst.

*Prepare 32 bars of music and come dressed for movement.

*Production dates Nov 20 thru Dec 19, 2015*. Fridays/Saturdays at 8, 
plus three Sunday matinees.

*ROLES:*

Director is looking for a large cast and familes are encouraged to audition.

The Car—this role has been precast.
Caractacus Potts—eccentric, brilliant, English inventor and loving 
father. Male 30's to 40's, Bari-tenor
Truly Scrumptious—Strong and independent, but gentle, Falls in love with 
Caractacus. Female 20's-30's. Soprano
Grandpa Potts—Former war hero fond of telling stories. Male plays 60's. 
Baritone
Baron Bornburst—Ruler of Vulgaria. Male adult any age. Baritone
Baroness Bomburst—wife of the baron. Tyrannical and dramatic. Adult 
female. Soprano.
The Toymaker—Smart but frightened. Adult male. Bari-tenor.
Jeremy Potts—Caractucus's son. Male 8-13. Soprano
Jemima Potts—Caractucus's daughter. Female 8-14 Soprano
Boris—a Vulgarian spy. Male adult. Bari-tenor. Will consider female.
Goran—a Vulgarian spy. Male adult. Bari-tenor. Will consider female.

Speaking roles:
The Childcatcher—evil and manipulative, adult male or female
Lord Scrumpitous—owner of the Sweet Factory. Busy, important and 
decision. Male plays 40-60. Coggins—Garage Owner. Adult male
Junkman—Adult male
Miss Phillips—Adult female Candy factory receptionist.
Turkey Farmer— Adult male
Sid—gets his hair burned off at the fair
Violet—Sid's wife

Other featured roles: Soldier Captain, Children in the sewer: Stephen, 
Greta, Susan, Marta, Toby

Ensemble includes: Hidden children in the sewers. Soldiers, Inventors, 
English spectators, Fair-goers, Vulgarians, Morris Dancers, Tango 
Dancers, Sweet Factory Workers
