Wandering Aesthetics
Announces
Fall Youth Theatre Classes

After some very successful Summer Theatre CAMPS, Wandering Aesthetics is proud to announce our upcoming session of youth theatre classes. Wandering Aesthetics’ Director of Education Kyle Jozsa will lead our fall session.

Wandering Aesthetics uses a play-based approach to teach, guiding students to learn through imagination and experimentation.

Here are what parents and students are saying about working with Jozsa:

“Amelia LOVES it! She said, this morning on the way to camp, ‘every character has something special about them, that's what Mr. Kyle and Mr. Benjamin said.’” – Shane Wynn

“Kyle is amazing with the kids.” – Tracey Thomas Shepard

“Gio is LOVING camp! Thanks Kyle & crew!” – Elisa Gargarella

Private lessons are also available to help students prepare for auditions, roles or simply to delve deeper into the craft of acting.

“Facts are forgotten, but stories are remembered…” –Anonymous

Children who are learning to navigate the world long for stories. From Aesop’s Fables to Grimm’s Fairy Tales, stories are instructive, helping to make sense of a chaotic world. Tall Tales is designed for students who don’t wish just to hear these stories, but to live them!

Exploring a classic tale, students will work together, forming a genuine bond while becoming familiar with the fundamentals of theatre. The students will channel their imaginations through play and into performance.

The Power of Myth
Ages: 9 - 13 Years
Tuition: $135

“Mythology is not a lie, mythology is poetry, it is metaphorical.” – Joseph Campbell, Mythologist

“In the theater, articulation encompasses far more than words. It is signs, symbols and, particularly, metaphor. You point to something by finding metaphors for it. The metaphor carries the meaning. The metaphor allows the receiver to fill in with their imagination.” – Anne Bogart, Theatre Director

The Power of Myth gives students an in-depth look into the act of creation. Investigating an age-old myth, students will delve into the art of storytelling and the craft of theatre. The class will work together, using ensemble theatre practices, to create their own myth, learning techniques to prepare their bodies, voices and imagination for performance.
