Season of Kringle's Inventionasium®


Come help us make the magic happen! Mr. Kringle & Company® is seeking a
Costume Fabricator for the 2015 holiday season of Kringle's
Inventionasium®, an interactive, immersive theatrical experience produced
annually at Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland, OH.


The Inventionasium® entertains over 20,000 guests annually during a 30 day
run, attracts diverse families from all across the country, and boasts one
of the "Best Santas in the U.S.” according to TIME.com.


For families seeking an innovative holiday activity, Kringle’s
Inventionasium® delivers a fresh yet timeless interactive experience that
honors the spirit of Krismas.


The Inventionasium® itself is Mr. Kringle's inventing laboratory, where he
invites children and their families to engage in imaginative activities to
help prepare for the Krismas holiday. Mr. Kringle's many Inventors, friends
and family members populate the Inventionasium® and lead guests through its
many stations, guiding them to engage with Inventionasium characters and
each other, to make lasting memories with their family and friends. The
tour through the Inventionasium® concludes with a private visit and photo
opportunity with Mr. Kringle®.


The right Costumiere would efficiently construct costumes and make
necessary alterations on wardrobe pieces for all characters who inhabit the
Inventionasium®.


A qualified individual would meet the following criteria:


- 3+ years professional theatrical costuming experience

- Experienced in advance garment construction, machine stitching, and
alterations

- Knowledge and experience working on sewing machines, sergers and pressing
equipment

- Ability to follow, modify and create patterns

- Skilled at problem solving, organization and able to use good judgment
under pressure

- Bachelor's or Masters in theater/costume technology or costume design
preferred


This position pays $2500 for a 6 week fabrication period beginning October
10th. Responsible for initial cleanings, fittings, alterations and
construction of new costumes as well as the organizing of all character
wardrobe bags and accessories. Must be available for adjustments & repairs
throughout the run.


Kringle's Inventionasium® opens November 20th, with previews the preceding
week (Dates TBA), and runs daily through December 24th.
