WordStage Literary Concerts Inaugurates a New Series at the Wright Chapel in the Lakewood Presbyterian Church -                           Friday, September 25th  at 7:30PM
 
"When he wasn’t marching, fighting or setting up camp, the Civil War soldier often took a moment to write home. And, as do all separated from loved ones, he eagerly awaited missives from those left behind." 

Commissioned by the Heights Libraries in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War and first performed in February 2015, "CIVIL WAR LOVE LETTERS is drawn from actual correspondence to and from soldiers on both sides of the conflict. 

Read by WordStage actors Tim Tavcar and Agnes Herrmann, these letters reveal the human face of this tragic time. The result is tender, heartbreaking and often amusing, and will be enhanced and  underscored with music of the era played by Jan C. Snow on the hammered dulcimer. 

Join WordStage for this first West side performance of “Civil War Love Letters,” Friday, September 25, 7:30pm, in the Lakewood Presbyterian Church's  Wright Chapel at 14502 Detroit Avenue at Marlowe in Downtown Lakewood, OH.  

In Lieu of a Ticketed Admission, a Free Will Offering is requested.
