*Job Opening: Theater Director -- Midview High School*

Midview High School is currently seeking applicants to fill its opening for
"Drama Department Advisor"

This individual would serve as both the executive, and artistic director
for the drama department. Along with the responsibilities of directing
three shows throughout the year (a fall play, winter one acts, and a Spring
Musical) this position includes working with some of the best theater
students in a three - country area. With a healthy program of over 70
interested students and an engaged community, the drama program puts on
shows that have sold over 1,500 tickets per week-end. This job entails
educating students in theater, managing the drama account, hiring and
supervising support personnel (if needed), crafting the artistic vision of
the program and culture, and directing students in various theatrical
productions.

Eligibility:

* Consent to a background check
* College degree preferable, but will be weighed against experience
(students of theater programs should not be discouraged from applying)
* Experience in theater, particularly in directing staged productions (but
experiences as a cast member are also applicable)
* Ability and interest in working with teens, as well as an ability to
juggle several projects at the same time
* Passion for the humanities
