*The Players Guild Theatre Announces Auditions for the 33rd Annual
Production of “A CHRISTMAS CAROL; The New Musical”*


CANTON, OH -The magic returns! The Players Guild Theatre welcomes the
exciting return of “A Christmas Carol: The New Musical” - The original
musical adaptation from creators Steve Parsons and John Popa. This lively
musical tells the ghostly story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the emotional
journey towards his redemption, told through soul stirring melodies and a
soaring score. We are now casting for Canton's most beloved holiday
tradition. Be a part of the magic this holiday season.


The Players Guild Production team for A CHRISTMAS CAROL; The New Musical
includes:

Joshua Erichsen, Producing Artistic Director

Michael Lawrence Akers, Director/Choreographer

Steve Parsons, Music Director


Auditions will be held at the Players Guild Theatre located in the Cultural
Center for the Arts, 1001 Market Ave N., on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday,
October 20 from 7:00 – 9:30 PM.  Non-traditional casting will be considered
for all roles.  Interested parties should sign up for a time slot by
filling out the available online form at www.playersguildtheatre.com
Walk-ins are permitted and will be accommodated with the first available
time slot.  Those auditioning are asked to please prepare 32 bars of a
musical theatre song that best features their vocal ability, as well as
bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided.
Additionally,
actors are asked to bring a current headshot and resume (if available) with
them to their audition.  Complete audition information, along with a list

Callbacks are scheduled to be held on Wednesday, October 21 and rehearsals
are scheduled to begin on Sunday, October 25.


The production is scheduled to open on Friday, December 4, 2015 and will
run for three weekends through Sunday, December 20, with Friday
performances at 8:00pm, Saturday performances at 2:00 PM AND 8:00 PM, and
Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.  Additionally, there are student matinee
performances scheduled for December 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 10:00 AM.
